Center Grove Boys Basketball League Descriptions

CGBBL is organized to enable boys in 1st through 8th grade participate and compete in basketball.

1st grade leagues are played at a goal height of 8 feet and a free throw line of 12 feet and do not allow guarding the ball before it is brought across the mid court line.  Games consist of 6 periods lasting five minutes each and any one player may not have more than 12 points in a game.

2nd grade leagues are played at a goal height of 9 feet and a free throw line of 12 feet and do not allow guarding the ball before it is brought across the mid court line.  Games consist of 6 periods lasting five minutes each and any one player may not have more than 12 points in a game.

3rd and 4th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 15 feet.  Games consist of 4 periods lasting six minutes each and any one player may not have more than 15 points in a game.

5th and 6th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 15 feet. Games consist of 4 periods lasting seven minutes each and any one player may not have more than 18 points in a game.

7th and 8th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 15 feet . Games consist of 4 periods lasting seven minutes each and any one player may not have more than 18 points in a game.
